The Challenge
Rare musician footage — rehearsals, studio sessions, backstage moments, and early performances — is scattered across YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram with no centralised home. Accounts get deleted, videos get taken down, and links rot. The footage that captures the real, unpolished truth behind music history is disappearing.
The Solution
I conceived, designed, and built DeepCutsArchive from scratch using React, TypeScript, and Supabase. The platform features full-text search across artists, decades, genres, and locations, a curated browse experience with filtering, an A–Z artist directory with clip counts, user authentication, and a Chrome extension that lets contributors submit clips with a single click from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram.
The Results
A growing archive of 208+ rare clips across 680+ artists, built end-to-end using AI-augmented development. The Chrome extension enables frictionless community contributions, and every submission is reviewed to maintain quality and focus on genuinely rare, interesting footage.
