As my name might suggest, I'm an Englishman, born and bred in South East England.
I'm currently living in the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic with my wife and twin 4 year old girls.
Having worked for over over 12 years as an in-house and freelance Graphic Designer, Art Director, UI Designer, UX Designer and Design Manager for agencies, start-ups, corporates & software companies my clients and employers will tell you that for creative thinking and high quality production of web and marketing creative, user interface design and user experience workflows I've got the skills and experience to help take your project to the next level.
One of my key specialities is in User Experience Design. Having worked in and around User Experience teams for Monster.com, 360Cities.net and AVG.com I am able to plan, design and build user experiences that answer to the needs of a customer. This first involves studying the customer, understanding their needs and conveying that into a flow that makes sense to them.
From the beginning of my career I have learned the traditional art of publishing design. As a sign maker and in my first agency my layout skills developed from traditional printed media and vinyl signs to the glorious world of the web.
As a creative thinker and expressive artist, building strong user experiences involves more than simply painting pretty pictures. Having worked in Marketing and Brand teams (Monster.com & AVG.com), I have learnt to question what the brand stands for, what insight it answers to, and look to build on this and to craft it into the User Experience - this is often one of the more significant brand touch-points.
I can help you to develop your brand by understanding where you want to be in the mind of a user, develop a strategy and visual look and feel that delivers on those aspirations and bring your brand to live in print and digital media by providing an experience the customer will remember and enjoy sharing.
To provide clear, creative, usable, effective design solutions for web front end, traditional print design and related digital mediums. I work well when defining a front end to suit a business solution, or re-defining an existing solution that is not working for firm, or user, as they would like.
